I wasn't quite understanding what I read and was interpreting it wrong. I had and still have problems in summary writing, and pinpointing the main ideas. movie critique,no good listening skills to interpret certain type of movie.
Commnication was quite a challenge for me last term. I think some of the things that was taught tha was introduce to us too late. So I was unable to grasp all of it. The dvices had me going also the summary writing and picking out the main idea. I am eager and willing to to do my very best this term with hard woek and dedication along with the help of my tutor.
Madge and Rosetta it is important that both of you read a lot and as you read material for each subject you are doing this semester you must always try and identify the main idea. Since we have no idea what UWI will send you have to read widely, complete assignments on time and apply what you have learned.
The figurative language, identifing the language register as well as the type of discourse, these had the better of me. But I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. woopie

ReplyDeleteI think my problem was that i dont like to read so it was hard to pick out the topic sentence, the main idea and the diffrent discourse.
ReplyDeleteWell Mandy you are going to have to read more often if you want to pass this course so start with a newspaper or a brief article. Reading is key!
